Why Leak Detection Matters
Small leaks inside appliances don’t stay small. A drip from a valve or cracked hose can lead to:
- Floor damage and swelling
- Mold growth under cabinets
- Electrical shorts or shock risk
- Higher water bills and system stress
Most leaks go undetected until visible damage occurs — our job is to catch them first.
Where We Check
We inspect both internal and external water paths in:
- Washers – inlet valves, drain pump, tub seal
- Dishwashers – door gaskets, fill lines, sump housing
- Refrigerators – water line, ice maker, dispenser seals
- Faucet hookups / valves – loose compression fittings, pinholes
- Under-appliance pans / bases – signs of corrosion or pooling
We also inspect nearby walls and floors for early signs of water intrusion.
Detection Tools Used
- Digital moisture meter (floor & cabinet check)
- Pressure test for hoses and valves
- Thermal cam for active water tracking (optional)
- Visual inspection under unit and internal panels
Preventive Add-Ons (Optional)
- Replacement of worn hoses or clamps
- Valve reseating or shutoff repair
- Application of food-safe anti-drip sealants
- Water alarm sensor installation (for flood-prone setups)
Note: Leak inspections are non-invasive unless access is required. We’ll discuss before removing any panels, kickplates, or covers.
